Dolphin Encounters and other exciting interactive programs are available too!

Turtle Hospital - Situated at mile marker 48.5 bayside in Marathon, the Turtle Hospital is the world’s only licensed veterinary hospital dedicated to the treatment of sea turtles. Visitors can take guided educational tours of the Turtle Hospital facilities and sea turtle rehabilitation area. During the experience, they discover how the unique center opened, find out how patients are treated and learn about sea turtles and why they are endangered.

Pigeon Key - Formerly known as Cayo Paloma (dove or white pigeon), many believe this 5.31-acre island was named after the white-crowned pigeon of the Florida Keys. Located beneath the Old Seven Mile Bridge, just west of Marathon, The Pigeon Key Foundation has transformed this island and its buildings into a world-class educational center. As a non-profit organization, the foundation is a nationally recognized concert and event location, meant to create awareness and teach visitors about the splendor of the cultural and natural resources of the Florida Keys.

Crane Point - Tucked away in the heart of the Marathon shopping district lays Crane Point; a 64-acre tropical oasis of hardwood trees, nature trails and educational displays for adults and children. The Adderley home has been restored and is a popular stop along the 2.5 miles of trails and wooden walkways crisscrossing the hammock. Trolley tours of the botanic gardens and historic sites can also be arranged. Another popular stop along the trail is a small footbridge overlooking Florida Bay. Here, you can get a sense of the vast waters where the Adderleys drew their living.Near the entrance to the hammock is the Museum of Natural History. Here, parents and children can learn about everything from the life cycle of sea turtles to how Native Americans forged a living from the sea.

Bahia Honda - Henry Flagler's railroad to Key West turned the remote island of Bahia Honda Key into a tropical destination. Today, the island is home to one of Florida's southernmost state parks. Visitors can picnic on the beach and take a swim or relax and enjoy the balmy sea breezes that caress the shores year-round. Anglers can fish from shore or bring a boat and launch at the boat ramp. Kayaks and snorkeling gear can be rented. Boat trips to the reef for a snorkeling excursion are available. Bahia Honda is an excellent place to see wading birds and shorebirds. The nature center introduces nature lovers to the island's plants and animals. Campsites and vacation cabins are available.

Conch Air Bi-Plane – Designed in 1935, this FAA certified plane has recently re-entered production with many modern improvements for safety, comfort and ease of communication.  With the capability to carry a pilot and two passengers in a leather wrapped open cockpit, you and a friend can enjoy flying in a way that lured thousands to become pilots. You and a friend can experience the nostalgia and romantic allure of flight as you fly over the crystal clear water of the Florida Keys with the Gulf of Mexico on one side of the island chain and the Atlantic Ocean on the other.
